Kenleigh and Nic’s Story!
“Kenleigh and Nic met the old-fashioned way: on Match.com. Their first date consisted of margaritas, chips and salsa, and discussions about nerdy TV shows. Not much has changed!
They began dating at the beginning of Kenleigh’s grad school career and are getting married towards the start of Nic’s. As a matter of fact, there has not been a time in their relationship during which one of them wasn’t working towards a degree! In the meantime, there have been jobs, friends, Netflix binges, moves, cars, surgeries, pets, pizzas, vacations, giggles, and more.
The proposal was quite an event. All Kenleigh knew was that she and some friends we going to see a band play at one of their favorite local breweries. Nic had told her he was working that night and couldn’t make it, but might join the group later. As Kenleigh and her friends were watching the band play, a “guest singer” came out a played a couple of songs with the band. Towards the end of the guest singer’s last song, Kenleigh and Nic’s family came out from their hiding places backstage, and the guest singer slowly started pulling off the wig, hat, and fake mustache disguise he was wearing, revealing that Nic had been the guest singer all along! Nic then made a long walk across the room to get down on one knee. Kenleigh, who was still very confused and surprised, happily said yes.”
