Matthew and I went to the same college, SUNY New Paltz, but we actually never met while we were there. He was on the baseball team and I was on the soccer team, and we were a lot of the same events but we never met. The first time we did meet was a year and a half after we graduated college when we were both working at a Special Education School. We dated for 3 years and then got engaged. We decided to get married in New Orleans after coming here on vacation and falling the love with the city. It was an easy decision to get married at Southern Oaks and to bring our family to New Orleans to celebrate.
