Vacherie Ceremony at Our Lady of Peace
Some wedding days feel like they’ve been pulled straight from a classic Louisiana love story. Camille & Gage’s was one of them.
The ceremony began in Vacherie, Louisiana, at the historic Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Sunlight poured through the stained-glass windows as Camille made her way down the aisle. Her smile lit up the entire sanctuary, and her joy spread to everyone around her. Family and friends looked on with admiration as she and Gage exchanged vows in a ceremony that felt timeless, personal, and full of heart.
After the “I do’s,” the celebration moved to the breathtaking Houmas House and Gardens in Darrow. As a Houmas House wedding videographer, it’s hard to imagine a more romantic backdrop. Ancient oak trees draped in Spanish moss framed the gardens, while flowers bloomed in every direction. The grand architecture of the estate created the perfect stage for their love story.
During the reception, Camille & Gage shared heartfelt moments, joyful laughter, and unforgettable dance floor energy. Meanwhile, guests enjoyed the warm Louisiana evening surrounded by the beauty of the gardens. From quiet strolls along the oak-lined paths to the way they looked at each other across the reception hall, every scene told its own story.
