The wedding of Kelly & Chris on April 14, 2012. We filmed this in New Orleans at the Hyatt across from the Superdome. The ceremony was at Mater Dolorosa with reception following at Rosy’s Jazz Hall. I love shooting weddings in New Orleans, the atmosphere is awesome. Almost every one we go to it seems is somewhere more unique and different than the last.

When I met Chris and Amber, they told me that they were having a small wedding at a relatives house with some friends and family. When I got there that day, the weather hadn’t been that great and they wanted everyone to take their shoes off before going inside… so 50% of my shots were done while I was running around in my socks, very laid back! Thankfully the weather turned out great, and with such a beautiful location everyone was having a good time.

Lindsey & Brett got married on March 3rd in Metairie at Munholland United Methodist. They had their reception at the always elegant Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans.

Here is the highlight we did of Michelle & Jacob’s wedding. They were married Feburary 4th 2012 in Ruston Louisiana at the Squire Creek Country Club. It was a long drive but I got 30 miles to the gallon in our new 2012 Ford Edge with Eco-Boost engine. What more could I ask for? It drives like a dream, gets great gas mileage and holds all of our gear.

Although it was a rainy evening, it turned out to be a perfect night for a wedding. The wedding and reception both took place at Boudreaux’s right here in Baton Rouge. Its a quaint location and they had it decorated for Christmas, so it had great atmosphere.

We had a great time filming with Christina and Jason. We met her that day while they were getting ready at Le Village. Le Village is a very beautiful old plantation style guesthouse located in a very rural area. One thing that I wanted to add because I thought it was really funny, is when she talked about Jason being scared to spend the night at the old house in the woods because he thought it might be haunted. A evening candlelight service with Katherine & William at White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge. I had a blast spending some time with Katie and Bill, and as always the staff at White Oak Plantation was awesome!

*Note 2/17/2012* I’ve been getting tons of emails regarding this highlight. There was only 1 Cinematographer(me) and NO additional lighting was used by me or the photographer. I used available light only so we would not spoil the atmosphere she wanted for her Candlelight wedding.

Filmed at the lovely Hemingbough Plantation in St. Francisville, with Anna & Ross Bass. Wow… What can we say. Hemingbough Plantation is a perfect blend of nature and art and provides a picturesque backdrop for any wedding. It was also a nice surprise to see again and shoot along side our friends at Bray Danielle photography!

A Feature Highlight with Katherine & Graham filmed in Lafayette, Louisiana. Our lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lafayette with the reception following at the beautiful Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island in New Iberia.

We think the Houmas House Plantation is one of the most scenic outdoor locations to have a wedding, and it was just a short drive to Darrow, Louisiana for us. We were surprised to find photographer “Don Kadair” was multi-talented and got on stage and sang! We had a blast with Jessica and Brian! Congratulations!

The afternoon we spent filming the wedding day of Angel & Jimmie in the New Orleans Riverview Room was fantastic. When we travel to New Orleans we get to enjoy all of the sights and sounds, the people and especially the food! Can we really call this work?

Wedding Videography highlights of Erin & Dan’s wedding at The New Orleans Country Club. Reception in the ballroom rocking to the sounds of the band Souled Out. It was good seeing the band again, they are always entertaining to watch and they added a couple different faces. The guitar player they had playing that night is one of the best I have ever seen, every one was having a great time.

Although we are in the middle of editing Kelly and Carl’s wedding dvd and I wanted to post some of the clips we shot that day. I really love the scenery at Nottoway Plantation, with its history and elegance, it really makes our job that much more fulfilling.

Abita Springs is probably one of the most quaint and beautiful towns in Louisiana, there is so much history there. Although we were to busy to visit the home of Abita Brewery, we did get the chance to spend part of the day at Money Hill Country Club to film Danielle & Sean’s wedding.
